Living Willow Den + tipis

This is a hands on, physical workshop where the children can take pride in making structures that the whole school can use for years and years to come. At Creative Teaching we love the environmental credentials that the living willow structures bring to the school. Children learn the importance of plants to our lives. They will be using maths to work out shape, quantity of rods, pattern making etc and important physical skills of tying knots, handling willow rods, digging small holes and weaving techniques. This is a welly and old clothes workshop, working with groups of four at a time and will be structured to involve all the class.
